Roll a face. Publish the pick.
The Subtape Dice picks one face at random. Patch text in to feed the list, gate in to roll, Pal.ai to rewrite faces. Text, CV, and a roll pulse come out.

What it is
A die with up to 50 faces. The window shows the last pick. Roll is a coral key on the body. AI in lets Pal roll or rewrite the faces. Text in (Copy, fan-in) supplies faces from a comma or newline list — a wired list locks the onboard chips. Gate in (Roll) is a pulse that rolls. Text out (Pick) is the chosen face. CV out is that face's index mapped 0–99. Gate out (Roll) pulses after the throw. Default faces are yes, no, later, again.
How to use it
Drop Dice and press Roll. Wider spans list the faces; × removes one unless a text cable is in. Patch StickyPad.text or TapeDoc.text into Dice.text to feed a list. Patch a Button into Dice.gate for a remote throw. With no Pal cable it still rolls by hand.
What to patch next
Pal.ai → Dice.ai so Pal can set faces and roll. Dice.text → Marquee or Speak reads the pick. Dice.value → Knob or BeatPad.tempo turns the index into a number. A Button on Dice.gate is a plunger for the throw — same pulse Pal.gate wants.

Questions
- Is this the Keys synth?
- No. Keys plays notes. Dice picks a label and publishes it.
- Can Pal write the faces?
- Yes. Patch Pal.ai into Dice.ai, then ask. Pal can roll without rewriting if you only want a throw.
- Does text in replace the onboard faces?
- Yes, while the cable is in. The stamp reads IN. Unpatch to edit chips on the body again.
