SSP-001, Subtape Studio Pro. A hardware picture mixer: tracks of picture, still, sound, caption, gel, and overlay. AI in lets Pal editReel, exportReel, and searchClips. Video in (fan-in) is Camcorder or Clip. Image in drops stills. Audio in (fan-in) is Mic or Deck. Gate in (Play) rolls. Text in (Copy) is a caption feed. Style in (Gel) is a Lens. Audio out is the soundtrack. Video out (Program) is the picture at the playhead. Jog, zoom, level, fade, gel knobs. Timeline scrolls sideways.
How to use it
Patch Camcorder.video into CuttingRoom.video. Arm the mixer. Space plays. T splits, N adds a track, I imports, E prints. Patch Pal.ai into CuttingRoom.ai and ask to trim or assemble — that is Cut the Reel. Program out into a CRT to watch without a browser player.
