The Subtape Slider is one CV fader, 0–99. Value out drives tempo, mix, or Calc. Value in follows a patched number and republishes it. Knob is the rotary twin.
What it is
A single CV fader. Value out is 0–99. Value in follows a patched number and republishes it — LIVE locks the throw, same rule as Knob. Wider spans add a readout; span 3 labels the throw Level. Coral fader, not a rotary. Use it when you want a long grab for tempo or mix.
How to use it
Drop a Slider and drag the cap. Patch value out into BeatPad.tempo or volume, Effect.mix, Pan.pan, Marquee.rate, Lfo.rate, or Calc.b. A cable on value in makes it a meter. Unpatch to ride it again.
What to patch next
Slider.value → BeatPad.volume is a mix throw. Slider.value → Lfo.rate winds the modulator. Patch the same number into a Knob if you want a dial that follows the fader. Compare.a on the Slider makes a gate when you cross Thr.

Questions
- Why not just use a Knob?
- You can. Same CV. Slider is easier to ride with a finger; Knob is a smaller pot.
- Does incoming CV write the stored value?
- It follows live and republishes. Commit stays off while LIVE. Unpatch to store a hand-set number.
- What is the scale?
- 0–99, same desk CV as Knob, Dice.value, and Counter.value.
